I would do it on the top. you can add a wider section across the top and make it blocks or do applique on it. Should turn out cute.

What a neat idea! But you have given me another idea... I am thinking about doing your pocket trick at the top, rather than on the bottom, and make quilted pocket sections for the remote, tissues, pencil and pad, etc. WOW, now that is exciting... we may have come up with a whole new concept! Thanks.

Can you please post a pic of the finished project? Inquiring eyes want to see. Lol!

One year, I made flannel quilts as Christmas gifts for the family. On the back of each quilt, I added a large quilted pocket on the bottom edge. This way, cold feet could tucked into the pocket for warmth. :D

I made a flannel rag quilt several years ago and it was just long enough to come to the tips of my toes so it didn't really keep my feet warm. I made a pocket at the bottom and it is wonderful. The pocket is about 12 inches deep and I love it!

Well, problem solved... I added a quilted panel of pockets across the top and I love it! Think I will do it on purpose next time. ;o)

I would make a flannel pocket at the bottom so you feet will stay warm and will stay put like a quillow.

I guess I am going to go simple.....I would add a fleece foot pocket at the end of the quilt. Then when you put it away for the summer, you can fold it and putit inside its own pocket like a Quillow!
