That's what I was thinking -- make a pocket to keep your toes in.

This was going to be my suggestion also. Something that matches or coordinates with the backing and is good sized, maybe 14" square stitched to the backing would hold your feet and keep the quilt from pulling up.

I think I will add the pocket too! Thanks.

I made a rag quilt several yrs ago & it was too short for when I recline in recliner. So... I just added more squares.

I guess I am going to go simple.....I would add a fleece foot pocket at the end of the quilt. Then when you put it away for the summer, you can fold it and putit inside its own pocket like a Quillow!

Put it away for summer? Then when would I ever use it! LOL This is the Sunshine State and I use my quilts all year long. Just use Quilter Dream Request loft batting so they are light weight. But I am going to add the pocket to the bottom like a Quillow. Will make one that look like a pillow top. Great ideas from all who posted here. Thanks everybody!

I did something like this, but not a pocket. I sewed tucks into the end of the throw so that it would hook onto my feet and stay there when I want to take a nap. It really works swell. My feet were always cold if the quilt came off them, even with shoes on.

I would love to see, do you take the binding off first??

I would probably add a bit to 2 ends to balance. If you have enough fabric, adding a border (s) around the whole thing would also work.
