Hmmmm - Sean Connery once gave an interview in a British paper where he said it didn't hurt to give your wife a slap if she stepped out of line.... can't believe everything you read, I know and he MAY have been joking but stil.... Now, I like Colin Farrell he's got something so engaging about him. Saw him on a UK chat show a while ago and he was compelling to listen to - so honest and open.

The only quilt show I've really ever seen was Alex Anderson's. I liked it "OK" but felt it was rushed most of the time.

I'd have a show be an hour and feature one technique, one segment would be to introduce a new fabric line and shop. There would be internet recommendations, historical pieces. I'd devote a couple of shows to the quilt museum in Nebraska, behind the scenes, special events. It would be fun to have a field reporter who would cover towns across the country who host small quilt shows, "airing of the quilts" and so forth. There would be massive coverage of the big national shows, interviews with up and coming quilters. I'd also like to have viewer call in/write in Q & A. Features on retreats, quilters cruises

I mean the list is just endless as to what to feature. Lots to think about actually.

Who would I pick to host? I'm still thinking........

A name? Maybe Quilter's Potpourri?

George Strait in "Country Quilts". It could be about anything or really nothing. If he sings and smiles, I am not gonna be looking at quilts!

People do a double take at my DH, he look like Sam Elliott. I say Sam Elliot looks like him. :D

Mplsgirl 06-24-2009 06:55 AM

I vote for Hugh Grant. I don't care who they say he hangs out with! That smile - yikes!! And I don't care if he IS my son's age.....

Boston1954 06-24-2009 07:20 AM

Okay.........Johnny Depp but he has to cut his hair.

And if we are bringing back Michael Landon, I want to bring back Roddy McDowall, and Gregory Peck.

25 years ago I was in Vegas and a woman said "Are you Sally Struthers? Can I have your autograph?" She had been watching us in a restaurant. I said I wasn't and she said, I understand I won't tell anyone! Finally I signed Sally Struthers' name on a napkin and sent her on her way.

Googled Gerard Butler. OMG. My DH was working on his hotrod several years ago with his head buried in the trunk. A walker walked by and said "Looking like Tool Time to me!" Don turned around and the guy about fainted. "OMG IT's Tim The Tool Man!"

Ladies, ladies, ladies-----I totally applaud you on your hunk choices, however, I am concerned with the effect excessive drooling has on quilt fabric!

Forgive me please, but how can we expect straight seams with wonky fabric???

After seeing these pictures, I'm replacing Johnny Depp with Liam and Gerard....especially after getting the "insider" scoop on Johnny from k3n. I think that Liam, Gerard, and Sean Connery are definitely worthy replacements. I wouldn't mind if Dame Judy hosted either. She'd certainly be less distracting.

The smile is nice, but I could do without the whiskers - ughhh. I know it's supposed to be fashionable, but what is it with these men ... laziness?

Well I think I will go with NATE BERKUS and TY PENNINGTON
as show hosts. They are both cuties with a lot of showmanship
when it comes to doing wonderful things with makeovers
and small spaces all across America. They amaze me;
and have great host personalities.

JoanneS 06-28-2009 07:20 PM

Okay - back to WHAT would be on the show -

and I nominate Clive Owen to be added to the list because QuiltingCrazy beat me with Johnny Depp (and I don't care what K3n says - it's OLD news). Johnny's newest movie with him as Dillinger comes out Wed. However, it'll be hard to top Chocolat, Edward Scissorhands or What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Won't argue with Clivve Owen but check your PM before committing to Johnny....
