Janome 1/4" foot
What are your opinions on this foot? I can't decide if I am comfortable with it, seems like I want to jam the edge if the fabric up against it. I have been using my regular foot and moving the needle position, but I thought I would give this one a chance, still on the fence here!

I would prefer the needle position. I think it was easier to control. Never liked the 1/4" foot.
I like it. I just wish the flange was some neon color instead of black so I could see better. I still have to change my needle position.
I use the 1/4" patchwork foot PLUS I have to move the needle position. I have the O2 foot but had to with the clearview and the original O foot.
I love mine. But yes, you have to still move the needle position, because the default needle position is for 3/8", regardless if your fabric is guided along its right edge.
I really like my 1/4" foot. JenniePenny - I never heard that the default was 3/8" I am going to have to check into that

I have the Janome 1/4 foot and it is accurate. Good thing because I can change the position of my needle on the Janome machine I have now.

I use the 1/4" foot and have to adjust the needle position to 54 to get an accurate 1/4" seam.....I do like it though and have painted the black guide white with white nail polish....I can see it much better that way.
I love to use it when piecing. Since I am more concerned about all seams being the same and not so much as them being a perfect or scant 1/4 of an inch it truly is a help.
