I love jelly rolls but haven't done too much with charm packs yet. Missouri Star Quilting Company have wonderful video'son them.

I like the jelly rolls and if you buy them from connecting threads they do not charge extra for the cutting....

If you hate cutting, they are nice. There are many books and patterns that use both. I like them, but mostly use fabric and cut myself.
