I've never used a 2.5 inch strip for anything but binding. Which type of quilt are they used in?

I was thinking of using a jelly roll to make a Bargello quilt but I didn't find a single Bargello quilt in all those pictures. Is there something I am missing? Can you not make a Bargello quilt with jelly rolls?

This is a picture of my latest. I plan on a few of them. I used jelly rolls and added more bright strips, The more the better. I cut the jelly rolls down the middle to use for these.

There are so many things you can do with those Jelly Rolls. Lots of patterns call for 2.5 inches squares or strips. Have fun with them.

The blocks in this quilt that I posted pictures of was made using a jelly roll.

Yes, we have used a jelly roll for a Bargello, but had to add a few extra strips as they call for so many colors. My friend and I did two different colors quilts and they both turned out great. We got a free pattern online called "My Lil Bargello" (only used 14 different colors instead of 21 or more like some call for) I am sorry I do not remember who's pattern is was, but it started as a youtube video. Good luck.

They are absolutely wonderful to sew together, the entire length of them, and then cut diagonally and arrange different ways. Endless possibilities with jelly rolls!

I love all the beautiful quilts you have shown here. There are so many things you can do with them. I have seen so many beautiful totes and handbags made from them. I just bought several patterns for bags and the jelly rolls to make them from.
