Thanks for sharing this info. Looks like a wonderful easy pattern to make.

Jenny is my hero. I took her Craftsy classes too Quilting Quickly 1 and 2. I got them 1/2 off on a special. Best class I ever took.

Neesie, I so enjoyed seeing your "first" quilt. I am so partial to the dark green print in your quilt. Have about 6 yards of that fabric waiting for the perfect quilt pattern. I think I have the medium green too. Interesting. I bought mine in Kalamazoo and yours are from Texas. Great minds love the same fabrics in our case.
After viewing the Jenny tutorial, I am now courageous enough to try the Irish chain too. I need to look at the double and triple to see if they can be as easy as the single. Seriously, the double and triple are just as easy. It's just a matter of lining up and sewing your strips in the right order, then cutting them into blocks. It's really fun, to see it all come together. |

Love Jenny!!!!!!!

I just received an order from Connecting Threads and was going to return a jelly roll of summer batiks. Very pretty, good quality, but I thought I really wouldn't use it. The next day I saw Jenny's Irish Chain tutorial using a jelly roll and the lightbulb went off in my head - my new jelly roll and a pattern I haven't done before. Thanks Jenny. And thanks to QB members who've posted pictures of some nice Irish Chains on this thread.

I'm making bags instead of quilts right now, but if I were making quilts, I would make an Irish Chain with blues and whites and one with colors and black. mmmmm
|
Neesie that is a very nice quilt label.

Yes, Irish Chain really is that easy to do & I happen to love them. Here's one I made eons ago for my DH's boss' DD (her name is Kelly & she was born on St. Pat's so it's perfect that I just happened to make this out of shamrock fabric with quilted shamrocks)! They also are awesome for using us scraps! Eleanor Burns has a good pattern, too!

Irish Chains are one of the easiest to make. And, once you master that, which doesn't take long, some who haven't figured it out yet, there are several blocks that can be made with sewing the strips together and then cut into squares. Saves some time instead of cutting up several tiny squares and sewing them together.
