The Irish Chain is very easy! Here are some pics of my very first attempt, at a "real quilt" - a Triple Irish Chain. It's far from perfect but so far, it's held together. It was a birthday gift, for my mom, in 2009. I've been sewing for over 50 years but up until that quilt, had only pieced/quilted craft items. It's backed, with a blanket and the quilting is SITD.

I don't think I would have had the courage to attempt my first quilt if it had not been for Jenny. I had checked books out of the library, and surfed the web for information, but when I found Missouri Star Quilt Co. on you tube, she took the anxiety right out. Actually watching as she made cuts, and sewed pieces together with her easy manner and straightforward explanations made it all seem doable. I got to where I was looking forward to that little jingle and QUACK!

I made a triple Irish Chain years ago and still have it, it is put away. I made a lickety split in 2010 for my Son and it looks alot like the irish chain. I need to make more of them. Neither one was hard.

Yes the Irish Chain is a beautiful and very easy quilt. It was also one of my first and continues to be a favorite!
