Wow, mark that occasion on your calendar! Being able to use your coupon on something you actually want is rare indeed. Congratutions!

A former sewing student of mine through middle school and then in a high school class is asst. manager at Angola's Joanns. Of course I sent students there and frequented there myself but was quite surprised when I was in the hospital I received a great well card for the employees of the store.

If I go in for something and it is one sale, I use the coupon for another spool of good thread.

I don't go in there very often anymore because that is the usual service whether there is a store remodel going on or not.

I was talking to the lady who cut my fabric, who is always pleasant, and they expect the store to be in shambles for another 2-3 weeks. I brought up that Coupon Commotion is next week. If you have ever been to Joann's during Coupon Commotion, you will understand! It will be interesting to see how the sale goes!

The JoAnn's I go to is always a mess. Very disorganized. Not enough help, I think. This week I saw a sign posted on the back of filing cabinets, near the cutting table that read: "Fernando will be making unannounced visits to all stores. The store has to be PERFECT every night." I assume this a warning to employees but I found it funny that it was in plain sight of the customers!

you are lucky indeed - i never get to use my coupons because they have everything on sale - most is 5% or10% off which isn't much. i actually find better deals at local quilt shops that have QUALITY material on sale - some name brand for $4.99 to 7.99 a yard. i came out of the adirondack quilt shop in glens falls, new york with more fabric and spent less than at joanns. all brand names - that my local joannes does not carry.

It takes so little to make me happy!
JoAnns is about 20 miles from me (40 miles round trip) so I don't get there like I used to do.
With the cost of gas and the cost of lunch saving 10-20% ends up costing me more than I save.

Our JoAnn's is about 35 miles away. It has only been open about a year or so, and I have only been there once. When I lived in IL I was in Freeport JoAnn's on a regular basis. But we do have a Hancock's here in Greenville, two Hobby Lobbys and two Wal Marts.

It's nice when you can use your coupons. It seems so many times I go and what I need is already on sale so I waste the coupons.

Haha.. With Joanns, anything less than 30% off is not considered on sale! I'd wait for a regular day and use my coupon.
Yes coupon commotion is crazy. First day of Red Tag sale is crazy too!
I love getting those "branded" fabrics like Legacy, Debbie Mums on 50% off red tag price! Calicoes are like $1 - $1.50 a yard. Good for backings.

Haha.. Where I lived last time, Joanns was on my way to Walmart. So guess what usually happens?:p

I was in JoAnn's yesterday and used both my coupons - the 40% and the 50%, which is rare. When I have an unused coupon, I buy a bag of batting if it's not on sale. Batting is too expensive at full price. Now I have a hexagon ruler, Yay! I did pay full price for a red piece of fabric, but it was good fabric and a nice color, so I only bought the 1/3 that I needed. My nearest one is 50 miles away so it only gets visited after Dr app'ts. It is clean and organized, but understaffed.
