Join me for Virtual Quilt Weekend Next Weekend
 

I've been bad this summer and not quilted as much as I had planned. So I have declared next weekend (Friday 9/27-Sund 9/29) to be Virtual Quilting Weekend at my house. Please feel free to join me :)

For those who haven't participated in one before, we share pictures of what we're working on and encourage each other. It's a lot of fun and usually quite productive. Pop in and out over the weekend as your schedule permits.

Hope to "see" many of you there!

This is the perfect opportunity for me to get back to my project called "You're All Heart". It has been sitting for some time. I need a little pushing. See you there.

Is anyone bringing roast beef sandwiches or something? LOL

I won't be able to join you this time as my guild's fall retreat is this week-end. Have a great time and get a lot accomplished!!

I've been watching for something like this, but sorry to miss it as I am also going to a quilt retreat this weekend. Enjoy your time sewing & sharing & will check to see all your projects on Monday.

Sounds like great fun!
However we have a "work weekend" for getting our booth ready for TRF (Texas Renaissance Festval) - cleaning, draping tables, setting up displays. Will be fun having the crew all together and getting everything done.
But definitely no sewing will be happening unless I need to hem some draping or something.

What time will you start? I mean East US or central? We are 6 hours later than your eastcoast, so part of this will be during 'our' night, but may be I could join you for a couple of hours. Sounds like fun .

I could start a post either Thursday night or when I turn on the computer Friday morning. I want to make sure I don't exclude anyone, especially overseas. If I start the thread Thursday night here, is that Friday morning for you? I can never remember. Basically, I would say just join us for whatever time zone is your weekend :)

For those of going to retreats and festivals, have fun! We'll miss you.

@Boston1954, roast beef sandwiches don't appeal but sending out for pizza does!

I would love to join BUT I took my machine to repair man today as it is looping badly, and its going to be away two to three weeks as he is really busy :( apparently I'm in a minority as I don't have a back up machine. I feel as tho my right arm has been cut off!

I will be there! I have so much I'd like to get done and I've hardly done any sewing in September. I need to get moving & this weekend will be great motivation!

I plan to join. I have plenty to keep me busy all weekend.

I am jumping in. My brother made me a frame for a wall hanging I made. The frame is beautiful but too big for the small quilt. I have had the frame for years with nothing in it. I hope to change that this weekend...

I forgot you said that you wanted pictures. This is what I am hoping to make progress on this weekend. There will be 24 blocks when it is done. They are about 9 1/2 inches. I am appliqueing hearts all over them.

Sounds great, I had to undo the sewing room, it doubles as an extra bedroom and our DD and SIL were here. So I have gone over a week with out sewing. I'm having withdrawl, so I need a sewing weekend!

Why don't you choose pattern, fabrics and cut out the fabric? As soon as your machine is back you will be able to start sewing!

If you have no machine you could hand sew.(put hands over ears) . Words my friend say when I use those words are terrible. Cut out some fabric. Press something, or can you borrow a machine from a friend shop relative etc.
I will join on Friday I am 6 hours in front of you in the UK.

I have yet to learn how to post pictures! I've tried to but was not successful. But the thought of quilting knowing that other's are doing the same thing is a fun thought. I could sew and then try again at posting. I can see your pictures which will be fun, so I'm in!

The biggest thing for posting pictures is to make sure the picture is not too large. Pictures sized for e-mail are great for posting here. When it you look at the picture at 100% on your screen it should fill less than half of your screen. Looking forward to the group sew!!

Oh, goodie, been wondering when we were going to get back to VQDs again. I'll be here for most of the weekend, maybe all of it. I have lots to do, have gotten way behind the last few weeks.

I'd love to join you but this weekend is the Remsen Barn Festival in upstate NY! It's a tradition in our family to go- my daughter went the morning after her wedding 6 years ago!!! We have a lot of fun looking at all the crafts and eating!!!!!! I love the bison burgers and chili! But have a great time and I'll check in to see what everyone has been working on!

Wonderful! Just the push I need to get some UFOs done. Or start another project. Or...... well, you get the idea!

I have meet the teacher for NE Guild Chairs on Friday and library sitting on Saturday and Sunday. BUT I will be doing prep work so I will join that way!

I do hope to join you. I have blocks to make for an exchange, two tops to get finished and HOPEFULLY we will get the long arm machine set up before this weekend. I plan to quilt till I wilt

Hi I will be joining you, so pleased to have a virtual quilt day(s) really helps to focus. Not sure exactly what I will be working on, have lots of things going on so will try to prioritise. Thanks for organising see you all Friday, if you start the post on Thursday evening, DottyMo and I might have made some progress by the time you all join us.

More than likely, I be sewing that day with you's, also. I've started another quilt. I've got 2 block's done all ready. When I get a few more block's made, I'll post a couple pictures, the 27th-29th.. Don-isewman

Sat we will hAVE A FUNERAL mASS AND BURIAL FOR MY mOTHER. lUNCH FOR THE FAMILY THE ONTO nEW oRLEANS TO SEE gs PLAY FOOTBALL. Sunday is blessing of all pets at church at 2 PM. We have a Whippet/terrier male dog to be blessed. If the Saints play we MUST watch them. Oh I brought my Pfaff to the serviced in New Orleans yesterday......Do you mean then that I will have to do hand work ??????Hugs

I probably won't be able to take part. I'm going to be working on Friday, busy with a car show on Saturday and probably exhausted on Sunday but I'm going to look in and see what everyone else has accomplished!
