Ditto...ditto...and DITTO!
I come here every day...and I leave smiling with a positive feeling under my wings about many things! This really is a GREAT quilters community! My ex-hub hated my internet use. He actually thought the internet was just full of porn, lowlifes and virus'. I told him that you GET EXACTLY what you look for on the internet. I used to work late at our local hospital. I'd often get home at midnight. Some people went out after work for drinks and partying Not me.. I'd come home to my faithful dogs...cozy home...and surf my quilting, gardening, cooking, craft websites to unwind. I loved it. For me.. the internet is like the LIBRARY (full of friends) that NEVER closes. What more could you ask for? |
ditto!

I absolutely agree.

Did someone say "Good Morning Friend's":)

Glad you are enjoying life now! So many of us don't have women friends living close by now, so boards like this, & internet friends, are really a lifeline to us all! |
This is the first thing I do in the morning, then I feel I've had my fix for the day.
|
If it wasn't for this board I would be totally bonkers, not just a little. There is so much talent and beautiful things to see and ooh and awww over. I thank you all for the pictures and the talent.

Glad you are enjoying life now! So many of us don't have women friends living close by now, so boards like this, & internet friends, are really a lifeline to us all! Thanks Nancy! That was also a sweet post back. I have found that not all quilter's boards are as friendly and warm as this place is. I don't hop on the internet to squabble or go to logger heads with someone who has a different opinion then I do. Variety is the spice of life! We can voice different opinions over something without turning into "dragons" when we do so. I learned years ago that TYPING IN ALL CAPS does not make someone right. It just makes them appear LOUD and annoying. I occasionally type in caps when I'm very excited...but that's because I talk a lot with my hands... and my excited hand flappin' usually shows up in a post a CAPS. I was raised around a LOT of Italians...what can I say?? |
Same here - I don't always comment because I am afraid you guys will think that's all I have to do - but, I truly enjoy the posts, comments, pictures and help!
|
I don't post a lot, but I read this everyday. I started reading it months before I joined, it is my daily ritual now. Love it!

I make my coffee and oatmeal in the morning then settle in to read everything or almost everything on the Quilted Paadise Digest. My breakfat seams to go well while reading and looking at all the beautiful quilts and all the wonderful ideas to make. I just want to stay in my pjs and do nothing except sew. You all amaze me and because of you I have quilted two quilts in my 85 years and now working on making a twin quilt for myself. I just started quilting last year. I never saved the extra pieces but now I do and am going to do something with them A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL to help this lonely widow have loads of friends.

OH YES! total agreement!
|
The first thing I do in the morning is make a pot of coffee, turn on the TV, and turn on my MacBook to the QuiltingBoard. It is a great way to start my day.
|
Definitely one of the highlights of my day!
|
I enjoy all the beautiful work, it keeps me humble! LOL
|
I agree I love this QB.
|
I feel the same way! I don't get here as often as I'd like, but every time I do, my day is filled with joy. Thank you all!

Hi all, I have said this before buy it bears repeating, I am retired and sometimes don't go out of the house all day. But this board and all of the people I count as my friends are what keep me going. I love looking at all the pictures and reading what you all have to say. My problems are few, we all have them, you all help make my life worth while. THANK YOU ALL. I am shouting it to all of you. GOD bless and keep you all in his arms, no matter what you believe. I love to see and hear about the quilts and some of the stories behind them. I look forward to getting home after work and settling down with a cup of tea and the quilting board. usually someone has already helped a person with a question by the time I get here, but that may be something I questioned myself and are happy to have answers and opinions. It's like visiting with friends everyday! The moderators do a great job at keeping it a nice place to visit.
|
I agree - this is a great community of quilters. I'm so glad I found QB.
|
This is definitely a wonderful group!! It brings me lots of 'joy' too and I do utter lots of 'ahs' and 'ohs'!! I have learned so much from everyone here!!! Thank you!!
|
I second that! Was just reading posts and thinking how in almost every single case, somebody comes to the rescue to answer someone else's (sometimes) desperate question. It's amazing and heart-warming.

Makes my day, too. I don't feel like the day is complete unless I come online and get re-charged and encouraged.

Well said, what a great way to start the day.

It's nice to have a place to call home with friends that share the same interest. Older people might call the Q board family, we've never met. That is what we are (Family)and friends far a way.
