Serial #G9937778 It was his great-grandmother's and said it was a 1923. Any info will be appreciated |
I'm not sure what she is, but she sure is a beauty.

very pretty lady you have there. Enjoy your times together :)

Are you sure you typed the serial number correctly?
According to the serial numbers on the ISMACS site it would be a model 15 which is not correct. According to the break out of the catagories with in the 66 it would be a 66-1 – Redeye decals; spoked balance wheel; early bobbin winder; back fitting feet; thumbscrew stitch length adjuster (1906-1923)- Join the Vintage Singer Yahoo Grop for more info on IDing the different types. |

Check out the serial # photo. It has side fitting foot. I'm open for any comments on her birthright!
How exactly do I join the vintage group? I have asked questions of that group but don't quite know how to submit a new subject.

You have a real treasure! I too have a red eye 66 from 1923. One thing I've found with mine is that it has no timing marks. Most 66s have marks but for some reason, some were made without them. They can still be timed, but its a little trickier to do. I'm curious if yours has them.

I don't know yet, I haven't done anything to it. I just got her and so far I'm in awe of what I have. I'll post an update when I know about her internal health. Thanks.
