I absolutely love the technique and the result. There are many different authors and books available. I use the local library for my books. The method through which I learned was "Magic Stack and WHack" by Bethany Reynolds. Just a sample of my latest work. I have used this Lilac fabric for numerous projects and have done over 60 blocks.

Beautiful. I am so impressed. Thank you.

I also have a birhouse wall hanging to do called Sunflower Cafe' and joined a BOM - Birdhouse Village. So..... that being said.... can you tell me where you got your fabric..... the manufacturer....... and the name?
Sorry I have no idea whose fabric it was & I don't even have a scrap of it left to look at for you, however I do know of a small shop here on the other side of town who suppy it. I will call them tomorrow for you & find out. I think they will post it over to you wherever you are ? I'll be in touch. I love birdhouse themes also - we have something in common LOL. Tisha |

I've just done one from the book One Block Wonders by Maxine Rosenthal - see my new thread! I love the technique but think I could have chosen a better fabric...

Hi all,
So, after reading the initial posting on where to start on this quilt, I took the plunge around 5 PM yesterday evening, cutting strips, working my template. By 3 AM I had it designed and on my portable design wall. Yes, this quilt is still on my design wall I adopted the Kool Kaleidscope Quilt from Ricky Tims. I viewed the video from The Quilt Show. It really came together quite easy. Now time for sewing it all. More to come soon. Let me know what cha think. Diana |
Wow! I'm impressed! A wonderful way to make new and exciting K-quilts! Thanks for sharing.
I went to a Ricky Tims live performance here in St. Louis last month and he truly takes piecing and quilting to a new level. |
Thanks for the compliment. At least, I know I'm on the right track having just thrown this together fairly quickly. I'm really excited about it. Some one had posted that they were tentative about getting started. So, I went for it and it was great.
