There is no way to keep track of it, as it obviously grows legs at will and crawls away when your back is turned!

Thanks for the idea, now I just have to remember to put it there instead of just laying it down. :)

Well, since it barely leaves my hand..................

Actually, thanks for the tip. It's a good one!

Great tip. Thank you. Not that I ever need my seam ripper! :-)

Someone here gave the tip of taping a pen cap to your machine and putting your seam ripper in it. It works great - I've been using it ever since.

A good tip! I have a shallow basket beside my machine, and I just toss in there all the things I'm currently using - machine feet, package of current machine needle size, extra wound bobbins, small scissors, seam ripper, etc. Being shallow, it can't be overfilled without spilling everything out, but it can get crowded! lol

Great tip. Thanks.

Guess I don't use the ripper much and keep it in the drawer. I don't like to rip so am careful to try and do it correctly the first time. Guess this comes with 30 yr. experience.

I keep a pair of small scissors at each sewing machine for cutting threads - since you cannot use magnets at most machines anymore, I have put a 3M hook on each machine for holding the scissors - that way they don't get lost under stuff, or on the floor or wherever
