Has anyone purchased fabric from Keepsake Quilting? And , if so, how does their fabric compare to Connecting Thread?

IrelandDragonQuilting 05-04-2011 06:18 PM

I have heard they are good fabrics, I don't know though. Their site doesn't take paypal, or I would of ordered a few times :(

carla m 05-04-2011 06:25 PM

ive ordered from both and the fabric at both are very nice but keepsake quilting has a bit more variety it just depends on what your looking for. of course connecting threads is much cheaper you can get more bang for your buck.
they also have free shipping online if you order more than $50 and keepsake doesnt unless theyre haveing a special or something. keepsake also has more notions i think than ct but theyre both great places and seem to have great customer service from my point of veiw.

While stationed in Germany our quilting group would order from them often. I was always happy with them.

They are really great. And so helpful. When I wanted to order a pattern and the fabric to make it, but didn't know the yardage I needed without seeing the pattern, the woman on the phone put me on hold, got the pattern, and read me the fabric requirements.

jeanneb52 05-05-2011 03:30 AM

wonderful great quality and fair prices

I have ordered from both and really like both of them. They are good quality fabrics.

ptquilts 05-05-2011 03:53 AM

one time I was looking for a dark blue with little stars, for an Attic Window, they sent me swatches of what they had, free. Can't beat their customer service.

craftyone27 05-05-2011 03:56 AM

Keepsake carries namebrand fabrics - Connecting Threads only sells their own fabrics. I have ordered from Keepsake multiple times and never been disappointed.

Dodie 05-05-2011 03:58 AM

I purchase from them quite often and their fabric is top quality and the service is very good

Okay, I'm sold! :-D

ywoodruff5 05-05-2011 04:46 AM

I have been purchasing fabric from both for years and have never been disappointed in the fabric from either.

grannypat7925 05-05-2011 05:03 AM

I ordered a fabric that I particularly wanted and it was very nice fabric and very generously cut but at $10.56 per yd. I think I would rather have fabric from Connecting Threads if they have what I want.

Rina 05-05-2011 05:19 AM

Nearly 80% of my material is from Keepsake Quilting and I am very satisfied with them. I can't speak for Connecting Threads, but you can be assured that KQ gives their best.

Deb watkins 05-05-2011 05:22 AM

I haven't ordred from KQ, but several times from CT. Even after washing the fabric from CT, the fabric retains a great feel. It is wonderful to work with. Great prices, definitely more bang for your buck and love the free shipping!

It's nice to know it was generously cut. I really dislike purchasing a fat quarter and getting home only to find in order to straighten the sides I lose a good percentage of the fabric
