Sorry just looked there are several coupons and they start on the 16th there is one
50%off runs 16-20 DFSE20
50%off runs 21-22 DFSE22
50%off runs 23-29 DFS29
40%off runs now through the 29th DES29

When our Joann's runs these coupons they have almost everything I would want/need on sale so you can't use the 50% off coupons. The 40% on a non-sale week is a good deal.

I bought many yds of Kona black at Hancocks-Paducah. They price it at $5.98/yd. That's a good price. And it's a great black, very black.

Well, I had 2 yards of Kona black from Fabric Shack I was using for paper piecing... nice cotton fabric.

I needed another yard and ran up to Joann's yesterday morning for some more Kona black. It is the Exact. Same. Thing. Exact same color, exact same weight, exact same weave. No difference at all.

Careful with the coupons! I think all of their quilting fabric is on sale at the same time and the coupons can't be used. I hate it when they do that..

I usually buy my fabric at quilt shops, but I have purchased Kona black at JoAnnes and been happy with it. It looks and feels great to me.

Wait--there's a Kona Black and a Jet Black? I'd love to get my hands on some Jet Black to try but I've never seen it. Does anybody know where to find it?

Dana

I found it at JoAnn's. Don't remember the price.

Fabricshack.com has Kaufman Kona Jet Black for $4.99/yd or just regular Black for $4.19/yd. They are in Waynesville OH. I have purchased from them before and had NO problems.

[email protected] has Kaufman Kona Black for $5.20/yd and they are in Kingsport TN;
contemporarycloth.com has Kaufman Kona Black for $5.50/yd, they are in Willoughby OH;
wishuponaquilt.com, Kaufman Kona Black for $5.49/yd in Raleigh NC;
stitch-n-frame.net, Kaufman Kona Black for $5.39 in Vicksburg MS;
There are a lot more, but these should be closest to you. I'd either email or call them and ask what their shipping charge would be.

I order from Fabric Shack often and they have half price
shipping and have had it for months. You can order up
to $75.00 worth of fabric for a shipping price of $2.50.
Can't beat that.

I also order from Stitch-n-Frame often. They are the
best at getting a lot in to the flat rate priority envelope
for $4.85 or whatever it is right now. I have gotten
as much as 9 (maybe even 10) yards in one of those
envelopes from them. They always try to ship as
cheaply as possible and will ship first class if you don't
have more than 2 or 3 yards. Also, every Thursday they
have a 'Thursday Special' with unbelievable prices on
fabrics. I probably shop both these sites the most often
and have always been extremely pleased.

Have a Great Day!
