I usually buy my fabric at quilt shops, but I have purchased Kona black at JoAnnes and been happy with it. It looks and feels great to me.

Wait--there's a Kona Black and a Jet Black? I'd love to get my hands on some Jet Black to try but I've never seen it. Does anybody know where to find it?

Fabricshack.com has Kaufman Kona Jet Black for $4.99/yd or just regular Black for $4.19/yd. They are in Waynesville OH. I have purchased from them before and had NO problems.
[email protected] has Kaufman Kona Black for $5.20/yd and they are in Kingsport TN; contemporarycloth.com has Kaufman Kona Black for $5.50/yd, they are in Willoughby OH; wishuponaquilt.com, Kaufman Kona Black for $5.49/yd in Raleigh NC; stitch-n-frame.net, Kaufman Kona Black for $5.39 in Vicksburg MS; There are a lot more, but these should be closest to you. I'd either email or call them and ask what their shipping charge would be. |

stitch-n-frame.net, Kaufman Kona Black for $5.39 in Vicksburg MS; I order from Fabric Shack often and they have half price shipping and have had it for months. You can order up to $75.00 worth of fabric for a shipping price of $2.50. Can't beat that. I also order from Stitch-n-Frame often. They are the best at getting a lot in to the flat rate priority envelope for $4.85 or whatever it is right now. I have gotten as much as 9 (maybe even 10) yards in one of those envelopes from them. They always try to ship as cheaply as possible and will ship first class if you don't have more than 2 or 3 yards. Also, every Thursday they have a 'Thursday Special' with unbelievable prices on fabrics. I probably shop both these sites the most often and have always been extremely pleased. The Fabric Shack link is: http://www.fabricshack.com/ Stitch-n-Frame link is: http://www.stitch-n-frame.net/ Have a Great Day! Marcia |
