I prefer Kona for any solids in a quilt. I incorporate embroidery into quite a few of my quilts and I have 3 favorite colors for the embroidery (depending on the overall design) White, Snow and eggshell.

Anyone knows where to get Kona solid charm packs? Thanks.

I'm using Kona Cotton for a quilt for my youngest son. He is kind of hard on things so I think the Kona will be sturdier because it has a little bit heavier feel.

I like the Kona fabrics. I am running low and need to stash rebuild on my solids and they will be my go to solids.

I love Kona too, except I hate when I'm not quick enough getting it out of the dryer...when it wrinkles it wants to STAY wrinkled!
Kona black is the only fabric I've ever bought by the bolt. |
I like the hand on the Moda's Bella solids better and have had no unraveling on the 20 yards I just had delivered last week and I have really cut into that to add to different kits I am getting ready. With hundreds of choices, I have always found the color/shade I wanted. My favorite right now is the Zen gray, I just purchased another four yards for an Ashbury fat quarter pack I just purchased, it is awesome. I use Moda's Bella solids much more than the Kona, expect for the black. That Kona black is black and it stays that way, I guess I have been lucky with all the different bolts I have purchased from over the last three years, it has always been the same black dye.

That's still true...sometimes it's very different indeed. My new favorites are RJR Cotton Supreme and P&B Color Spectrum. Both have a much nicer hand than Kona, as does Moda Bella.

Oh I see the Kona color card at Hancocks. That is really useful, especially when ordering online.
