Labeling rulers
I have return address stickers on my rulers so they won't get "lost" when I go to classes but they are always in the wrong place when I get ready to cut fabric! Where's the best place to put my label?

I have seen clear address labels. You might try them.

I use clear tape and just write my last name on them. It doesn't interfere much with being able to see thru them.

You might try a bit of red nail polish around or inside the hanging hole?

At a stationery store I have found clear labels with common first names preprinted. I bought a sheet with perhaps a dozen labels on it. I just took a look on ebay there are lots.

I etched a "K " in front of the word Omnigrid so it doesn't interfere with viewing the lines.... bought the etcher to put ID on tools years ago.... so decided my quilting "tools" would benefit from that too.

I cut the address label to show only my name. It then is a tiny narrow strip that doesn't interfere when placed over the quilt logo.
|
I just use a fine line marker and pick a spot in the middle of an inch measurement, usually by the other writing already on the ruler and write my initials. My friend writes out her whole name.

A friend etched with a jewelers tool my name and mobile telephone number on my long arm rulers. Same could be done with the rotary cutting rulers.

I use a label maker with the smallest font available. So far no problems with the line marks on the rulers.
