I cross stitch the info (my name, date etc) on xs fabric and sew it to the back of the quilt. sometimes xs a design on the "label" that coordinates with the fabric (like a flower if a floral quilt etc)

i thought i'd pull a great one and use permanent colorfast markers to color in the design i traced onto fabric. good start, but washable markers doesn't mean they can be washed after you apply them! it means they are supposed to be easily washed out (duh). that would explain why they were such a bargin!
