I just finished one of these...my pattern only called for 3 rows and that is what I did. Adding the 4th row and large borders should get you what you want. I loved the way it came out and my friends were really impressed.

Here is the one I just finished last week...3 down...3 across...laying on a queen bed.Don't know why this is sideways.

Delighted to see the discussion on this quilt, I have just ordered the pattern from equilter and impatiently awaiting its arrival, I am clearing my sewing table to make room to start!
