I'd have trouble keeping it lined up on the mark, so I'd still be cutting crooked!

I watched a video someplace to use these for squaring up your quilt before binding. I think it would work good.

Oh my gosh! I have a little laser level that my daughter got me (I do a lot of home projects). I never thought to use that for quilting.

I wonder if you could do the same thing with a laser that lines up pictures on the wall? You could place it on you cutting table and use your ruler and rotary cutter....Hmmm.

I wonder if it works better than electric scissors. I tried those a couple of years ago and it was like driving a cat.

IMHO these scissors are only as accurate as the person using them. Once you begin to cut, if your hand shifts at all the laser will still be showing a straight line, even if it isn't the line you originally began following.
Hands using scissors are moving so they can always shift direction.

A little advice, do not cut paper with scissors that are intended for fabric as they will not be sharp long.
