What a great idea! Thanks!

All sorts of different options work for different people. I keep my scraps in plastic shoe boxes, sorted by color or fabric type (novelty, batik, etc.) I like to keep them ironed flat, rather than jumbled in a hamper, and I have shelves in the sewing room where the boxes are stacked and labeled, so I can find them easily. This works better for me.

I use one of those pop-up hamper thingies. But, I found a smaller one at Hobby Lobby - The base is 12" X 12" and the height is 21" tall. With the 40% off coupon it was only a few $$$. I love it. When it's all the way full, it stuffs 2 smaller sized dog beds for charity. (I found it in the front area displays by the cash registers...and it comes in different colors (mine is purple).

This is what I use. Cheaper at the dollar store.

You can hang these in your closet

I bought a laundry hamper at walmart, has a canvas bag. Works great. Might look at the one with 3 bags, can save twice as much!

I used one for a long time, made three quilts from it and still had 1/2 left. Good luck

Hmmmm.. I like the idea, but when I cut my fabric my scraps are pressed and starched -- think I would rather store them flat so I don't have to do it again. I use a popup for my batting scraps, though.

I fold scraps with the larger piece that is left over but, if I was going to put them separate, I'd like something that I can see what's in the bottom of the pile. The mesh or a clear plastic would work better for me

I've made 3 scrappy quilts the past couple of weeks. I used 5" squares and 2 1/2" strips I had cut previously and it barely made a dent? I like some of the ideas listed.
