I found on craigs list here in Arizona 24 Laurel Burch FQ for $35.00 plus $10. for shipping.
Is this a good deal? I saw pictures and the fabrics are really beautiful. Judy |
Usually, fqs run $2.50 to $2.75 each around here. With shipping you would pay about $1.85 each. If you love them and you can save some money (have you compared the prices at any online places? do that!) I say go for it.

Are Laurel Burch fabrics very popular?
|
If I recall correctly, she passed away a few yrs ago (not certain how many). I still see quite a bit of her designer handbags & fabrics for sell though, so maybe they are still producing it or folks had stocked up on it in advance. If you like the fabric, color & design, I'd say it's a good deal. Try doing the research & see what you find out & see if it might become a collector's item.

Yes, she passed away in 2007 I believe....
If you like the FQ's, that is a resonable price, go for it :D:D:D |
Thank you

If you go here, there are several free patterns that use Laurel Burch fabric.
http://with-heart-and-hands.blogspot...-patterns.html I think it's a great deal. |
She died?!! I was wondering just the other day why I haven't seen any of her fabric in my LQSs lately. What a loss. She was truly talented!

Great price for FQs!! They recently went up to $2.99 at my local Beverly's Fabrics. I didn't buy any. I get them online for about $2.00 including shipping.

I usually look at the cost as if it were full yardage to determine if it's a good deal or not.
With 24 fat quarters there are effectively 6 yards of fabric. Cost + shipping divided by 6 comes to $7.50 per yard. Not bad in today's prices for quality fabric. If you get them, be sure to show us your creation! |
