Layout options!
2 Attachment(s)
Hello all ...
I saw a pattern on here about applique'd hearts ... loved it, and here's mine! Question ... should I have the half hearts on the edges or just have it with the whole hearts? I'm not going any bigger, and I won't be adding a border |
wow, both are nice but with no borders i think the second one.
I agree, the second one
I prefer the randomness of the 1st one :-)
I like the first one.

Well, I saw the first one and chose it! Then I saw the second and liked it even better. The edges give a pause and place for the eyes to rest along the edge.
Both are pretty though so it's up to you and your creativity! Did that help? |
I like the second one.
Both are darn cute!
I liked the first one, until I saw the second one. Nice job of matching those who half-hearts positive and negative.
That's a tough choice! Both ways have merit. I love the movement of the random one best I think!
Both options are great! IMO the 1st offers a busier look with the pattern continuing all the way to the edge and the 2nd appears to showcase the hearts more by way of the empty edges framing the cluster of hearts. I'm having a hard time saying one looks better than the other as they're both beautiful - you can't make a bad choice here.

Really cute design. I like #2 better, but both are good.
I would chose door number 2.
I like them both, but #2 I like most.
The second one with no borders. The first would work if you did borders and mirrored the heart with your quilting in the border.
Both are great, but I personally would go with #2.
I like the 2nd one best.
Both layouts look good, I find one more "whimsical" and the other more "formal" - so I'd pick whichever look you were going for, or like!
Really nice either way! |
I did like the first one....and then I saw the second. Love it.
What a pretty design!!! While I like both, I vote for the second one.
I like the 2nd one the best. Beautiful!!!
I prefer the second one, but if I had seen the first without the second, I would have loved it. Whichever you choose is great!
The second one looks complete. The first looks scattered. I'm for the second.

I like them both, but I think I like no2 best, love the design and the colours x
I really like it with the half hearts ... the first one!
But, they’re both beautiful!! Great work!!! |
Oh! I love the first one. It is so striking! The second is too conventional.
I like them both - the first one would look great with a border to contain it and the second would look great without a border.
I whole-heartedly choose the 2nd one.... 😀
Could you post the name of the pattern please? It's awesome ! Thanks!

I prefer #2. I like the completeness of the hearts.
They are both beautiful, however, in my eye, the first one looks unfinished. I'd go with the second one.
I think I like the 2nd one best but both are really cute.
Tough call! I loved the first picture, but found I like the second picture just as much. I have a slight preference for the first, but I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Great looking quilt!
I like the second one
They are both sweet layouts. I can't pick one over the other, make both, ha ha.
i like the second one better - especially if you are not planning to add borders.
I vote for #2. I seems more soothing and less "busy".
I like the whole hearts layout!
