JennyPenny, you just made a Sassy Bag from some of my favorite color combinations. Reds/and or pinks, with green. Dontcha just love Sassy Bags? I actually really like quite a few of the Lazy Girl designs, but I thought I would start small in case I screwed up... less material wasted. lollll.

Check out U Tube first - they have great tutorials for pretty and easy bags!
|
Thanks Scraps! I think I will do that.

Pretty bags - now I will check out the Sassy bags!
|
I have made 6 or 7 of those. Love the bag. I made a few changes on the flap, which I think made it easier. Instead of cutting a slit in the lining, I left it open on one side and turned it that way. Seemed to be a neater finish. Also changed the way the flap was sewn on.

Hiya Quiltergail... I was wondering the same thing when I watched the video for the Sassy Bags. I was thinking, " Why not just leave a couple inches open instead of cutting it."
But then I figured, what the heck do I know, I have never made one before. lollll. Glad to know that you have done this and it works out real well. |
I like the Bella Bag pattern--easy and no zippers!
|
I am going to look that one up (Bella Bag). I have not seen that one before. I like the "no zipper" part. At least for now, since I am so completely new to making any type of bag.
