Think of it as "artistic license"

Nothing in the rule book says you can't use that side of that fabric. I have used the same material several times and when I want a distinct look, the leaves are on top. When I want a softer look, the leaves go on the bottom.

Wouldn't bother me one bit because of all the other neutrals.

If it was me - I probably wouldn't have even noticed until after I had sewn it all up and quilted and bound it. Lol
It wouldn't bother me at all. I read somewhere that the Amish purposely put an error in each quilt, because only God creates perfection. Don't know if that is true or not, but I kind of like the idea of being humble and accepting than less than perfect is quite acceptable.

You know, there's nothing I hate worse than ripping mis-sewn pieces or blocks. If it doesn't show up, I'd leave it where it is!

I'm not sure that I would leave it. It does look just fine, but my OCD would kick in and I think it would bother me. How much OCD do you have? If the answer is not much, then leave it. You did buy both sides of the fabric after all. You could use a couple more of the upside down colors and convince yourself that you meant to do that. I don't think it would bother me as much if there were several pieces that way.

I'm in the same OCD boat as you...I could say I'd leave it, but I'm fairly sure I wouldn't. My hubby teasingly tells me he thinks I enjoy taking my work out more than I do the actual work.
I do say, it's your quilt, you do what makes you happy!!

One show I watched many years ago a lady used both sides of the fabric because she needed a lighter version of the fabric and that is how she got it. She said it was like having new fabric without having to buy more fabric.

On my Asian LC I purposely used the wrong side of many of my lights because the right side was a bit too dark. I would leave it and even mix in a few more wrong side up pieces to get more variety in the lights.

I've done it, so rather than take it apart, I just do it again a few times. Design decision

Yes. Especially if I caught it at a stage when I could change it.

But that's me.

(There are so few things in my life that I have any "control" over - that may be why I am so picky about the things I make.)
