I too like the light sashing after seeing them together. I think it does calm down the business a lot.

What about a cream color? There are such pretty patterns in the fabric, I think the light color will bring them out.

Liking the look you have now. Probably be sure and not put two lights together, or two darks. The contrast would serve as pseudo sashing. Very pretty.

I like the idea of a small cream/beige border, then the very light green and finally a dark brown that is in your blocks border to finish off a lovely quilt.

For some reason, I like it better without the sashing. I realize the sashing is the same fabric as what's in the center, but for some reason it doesn't seem to coordinate with the blocks when it's out in the sashing. No idea why. Just doesn't seem yellow enough.

The reddish brown in the tree trunks kind of jumps out at me.
Let us know what you end up doing.
Love your fabric choices.

** After seeing the last picture you posted.. I think it either needs sashing to give the eye a place to rest. OR, you could position your blocks so that it creates a pattern. One idea, place the side with the dark colors aiming all the same direction. Think stair steps.

Alex Anderson has done a book of neutral color quilts and they are lovely. Worth checking out!

Yes, I like it too.

If you must add a border, I would be tempted to use that leafy green fabric seen in the blocks. (I'm a fan of green, so my prejudice may be showing).

Hi everyone
Well I attacked this one again and think this is the way it,s going to be .
The picture does not really show the cream colour shows as white on camera.
And the orange is more on the orange side.
Thanks for all the help
And have a Merry Christmas with your family and friends.

Perfect! You eye for color and design is spot on!

IMHO, I would use a solid tan for sashing strips, if I were t sash.
