Love the quilt -- it's beautiful! I especially like the fabric with the duck head. What a great job you did with the fussy cuts!
I was going to do one of these with a single color theme like red and white or blue and white, but yours has made me rethink that and go completely scrappy. Love it!!! |
I like the first option under the finished center.

I like the 2nd option of border fabrics the best, but it really depends on what you are planning for the quilting too. The stitching can add so much to an otherwise plain border.

I love your quilt.... and I pick the 4th pic....

LOVE your quilt.. :) I think I like pic #5.

I like the gold and brown on the next to last picture.

Good news is nothing is "wrong" - all your combos look good, but..... I am one that has to see it from a distance - prefer on a design wall. I kinda like that brick pattern - has a different look to it - again a bit of distance would tell me more. I love your rusty border with the dots - good blender for that quilt.
Good luck choosing |
I like 4 or 5 best. However, I have to agree with someone else that suggested a different binding than the stripe.
Somehow, that takes your eye away from the great quilt and doesn't tie it together as well. Binding should always tie in the body of the quilt and not stand alone, like I think the stripe does. You did a great job on this quilt and it will look great when it's finished. :) Marcia |
I vote for gold inner and brown bubbles for outer. And bind with the brown so it doesn't detract from your quilt. I was taught to match the binding to the outer border -- a contrasting binding calls the eye away from the quilt.

The gold and dark brown gets my vote also, wonderful scrappy quilt!!
