A few years back, I bought a light box called "The Light Box". Approx. 9 x 11 area. It works great. But at the moment, I'd need to go dig it out of storage...

I attended a class at my guild and the instructor said light boxes are overrated ... she uses 2 tables about a foot apart and puts a piece of glass on the tables with the space in between and traces her patterns. you can use folding tables, end tables, etc. Free and works great! (Make sure you don't use glass that is too "thin".

I just went there yesterday, looking & looking. Couldn't find anything less than $100.

Bought one from Martelli and never used it....another one of those things that I needed but never used....one day if I live long enough.

I bought a three drawer plastic storage item at Walmart, Purchased an under the cabinet style fluorescent light. My hubby cut a small groove in one side of the drawer to accommodate the cord. When I need it, I take out that one drawer, the light nd it is set up in a few seconds. The other two drawers are extra storage. Cheap, works for me. Could easily be taken to a class.

I use a 20" x 20" square ruler with a lamp underneath it.

A friend made me a square drawer-type light box in which he installed a fluorescent tube with an outside of the box switch. It had a plexi top and was a wonderful place to trace patterns, etc. He also installed an ordinary handle so I could take it to class and I paid only $25.00 for it years ago.

I use one of my old Scanners.

I was looking through amazon on those crayola boxes. Do they give off enough light to use in a meeting room w the lights on?
