Luana, that is a very good idea, not so much waste that way.

You will have scrap squares with bias edges left after you cut the twisters. This is how I used mine. Hope this helps. I didn't see your original post so thanks for chiming in on this. I have done a few twisters and using the scaps for the borders is a great idea. Thanks so much for the tip. |

Yes and each one looks different depending on the fabric you use! A real neat concept!!!! Makes tablerunners to king size tops!!!

While there is waste to the twister ruler.....I think the resulting quilt top is worth it. I've made a number of lapquilts using both the large and small.....they just look great when they're done....and everyone who sees them gives me positive feedback.

bit by the bug.....add this to bucket list of quilts for me....sigh....trying to finish UFO's this year

if you don't peel the paper backing off, how will you know if you have lined up the twister properly?
peel it off and get some sandpaper dots to put on the twister if you think it will slip! |
I just bought the Lil Twister ruler and can't wait to use some of my charm packs to make a quilt.

Here is a picture of my twister quilt. I used the excess squared for a film strip border.

I just love that twister and have used the waste to make tiny twisters. I posted pictures on here a while back. I am ready to quilt my heart top now. My avatar is this one. Did 7 wreaths for gifts.
