Greeeter Eva:
Thanks for asking this question - I had never thought to use it without the border. I've just gotten my Lil' Twister.

And thank you, Lynnie25, for the pictures. Now I like it both ways (especially the one with the small inner border).

I am with you, I saw twister quilts and fell in love with them, but had too many projects. Need an idea for a gift scrappy quilt, and once again I am intrigued with the twister. Is it as easy as they say?

I am hooked 2 wreaths done one as wall hanging, other table topper. I also used the little scrap quares and did a mini cut my own pattern square. Very time consuming with that tiny of pieces. Do not get a block out of place ( ask me how I know) only took 4 hrs. to re sew and figure it out.

I just have finished a table runner we started in a class and finished at home. I was terrified to cut with a rotary cutter because the template is places so verrrrry close to the next piece with only 1/4" between! I finally traced around with marking pen and cut w/scissors. I am very pleased with the results, but whoever thought this up has way too much time on their hands! Make it, destroy it, reconstruct it....quilting is a bizarre craft!
I placed the "border fabric" in each of the outside 4 corners of the 9 patch, a red dot, then a golden print in the center, and several varied red and green prints to fill in. When it finished the red dot is the field and the pin wheels float in that border color. It is stunning. Linda
