Saliva worked for me!

Just rub your saliva on the spot or if the blood has been there for a while try a wet cloth (cold water).
I started useing the (thimble-it) LQS on my fingertip underneath my quilt they are thin enough to feel the prick and saves a sore finger. I would not want to quilt without them. Joann doesn't carry them.

Blood is a protein stain so just stay away from soap.. that will set it.. the saliva and the cold water should work the best. Some of the oxy clean stuff too.. or those tide pens you can buy will work on the protein stain... just don't be eating chocolate cake when you do the saliva one.. I just laughed so hard when I read that one.. People on this forum are soooo nice and sssssssoooooo funny... Love it

My grandma taught me this - it works!

I have used the hydrogen peroxide and it does work. I just recently made a T-shirt quilt for my great niece (played softball since she was a little girl and her mom saved practically every shirt). One of the shirts had dried blood on it and it took me several tries but it finally came out.

Try moistening the blood spot and put a thin lay of salt on it. Leave it on for at least an hour. Shake it off and see what happens. At the least it should be light but if not all gone, try, try again.

Peroxide, it even takes out old, dried blood. Learned this trick years ago working with an Oral Surgeon.

It won't bleach your color either. If it's just little spots, dip a Q-tip in the peroxide and dab the spots. Rinse it afterwords. I've even gotten blood out of things that have been washed and dried.

Oxy clean does work great!!

I rub a blood spot with and ice cube until it comes out. Works for me!
