If it is where you could put a label, I would do that.

My idea too. It would be nice and you could also quilt it in and make it secure. No one would ever know. And should any others appear, cover them with hearts here and there. Hearts are always welcome.

Love these ideas! May just have to "borrow" them some day. :)

When I was learning to sew clothing, they told me anytime you add a decorative element to something, do it at least three places. Guess it would apply to quilts too.

I would try to stabilize the tear, either iron on stabilizer on hand stitch it. I would then make a cute little block and applique it on top of the tear.

I had that happen. I took a small piece of the backing fabric and some fusible web. I placed the fabric, carefully, inside the tear, then put the web on top of the fabric under the backing fabric. Then with a teflon press cloth on top, I fused the little patch on the underside of the tear. Then I used matching thread and with tiny stitches sewed around the tear. It was nearly invisible when I finished. It has held up very well through several washings.

What a great idea, wish I had thought of this, I also had a small hole and used glue.

Ditto! Use muslin for the label and border it with fabric from the quilt top and that little tear will become part of the artistic ambience. froggyintexas
