After I finished quilting my quilt I noticed a little tear in the backing about 1/2 inch long.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hide this?

I have never done any applique...

You could use teeny tiny stitches to close it up like a zipper. I hate when that happens!

Put your label over it. Either use fusible or applique it by hand like I do.

My idea too. It would be nice and you could also quilt it in and make it secure. No one would ever know. And should any others appear, cover them with hearts here and there. Hearts are always welcome.

This happen to me after I first started quilting - the rotary cutter I were not friends yet... Haha I fused then appliqued a bear the cut area. It was a wildlife quilt. Liked the applique so much I added a few more. Don't let this dampen your spirits just experiment to get a look you like. Good luck..

I put an applique over the tear. People think that it was a feature! Even though it's already quilted, you can hand applique any size over a tear.

Well, let's see...
Seems like I should either applique (which I have never done. any suggestions on "How?") or put a label over the tear. How do you do that?
I know that I sound dense, but I am a real newbie...
