I always cut the strips and go. I have never done a pp log cabin. It is an easy quilt to make.

I do tons of PPing..but a log cabin...NO....you would just be making more work and it would take three times as long to get it ton and you will quit half way thru it....

just strip piece it the Eleanor Burns way...so much easier...and a great way to practice your 1/4" seams!

I make them fine without paper piecing

If you want it to be PERFECT...........then PP.

I've only made one log cabin. I'm getting ready to make a log cabin border. It would never occur to me to PP it. Chain-piecing is so much faster.

I am currently starting my first log cabin and strip piecing it. My strips are 2" wide

Since I never quilt log cabins I just sew them to a muslin background piece.

I pp mine, that way no need to worry about "squaring-up", and just 'cause I like to pp :)

I chain piece mine, but if accuracy is the issue, PPing would be the best solution.
