Add-on Equipment
Even though the PC Quilter can press your foot pedal of your machine, buying the speed control device called a Puck is a very worthwhile investment. It's so much easier to use, giving you finer detail and faster speed. It, also, gives you speed control at an easy-to-reach dial. The foot pedal control must be set up in the software eliminating on-the-fly changes. Using the puck also avoids having to set the PC Quilter to deal with touchy foot pedals that are too sensitive, to stiff, too big or too small. Spring for the extra $50 to $90 right up front and save the time and hassle of upgrading to the puck a few weeks later. This is a third party product that your can get from The Machine Shop. |
That makes sense, it is kind of like the quilter's cruise control for the mega-quilter. They all have to have special names I guess.

Well, I have a Bailey Quilting Machine on a Frame. I bought a
Lollipop from the dealer. It is a metal plate that you put on the sewing machine and then you can do quilting with ruler work, etc. It's used so you have more space when long arm quilting. Karen |
Interesting little thing.

lollipop can be rolls of binding fabric, not sure otherwise.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. Never would have guessed.

......and again, I learned something today.

http://www.handiquilter.com/shop/product/ruler-base/ It sort of looks like one with that empty rectangular space where the stick should be. |
