I'll jump in here and change the subject a little. How about Bamboo batting? Has anyone tried it? I felt some at a quilitng expo. It was really soft.

This is the most wonderful board and the most wonderful group of people. We can talk about anything here and not have to feel in the least be timid.

Happy Thanksgiving to you - hey you got us, what else do you need? Edie

My uncle must be freezing he lives with one of his daughters up there and i am sweeting may have to turn a/c on today

It is 4:30 PM - and it is 21.9*, sun is shining, but is starting to set now (then it will get really cold). Tomorrow is the day. We are supposed to have snow through Thursday. My husband and I aren't moving. I am staying in the house, cook my little heart out and sew when I am through for the day. Big dinner planned and am having a ball. I love cooking. Turkey, right now, all 23 lbs of it is in the stationery tubs in the basement. Will take til Thurs to thaw it out. Have to get up bright and shidy early to bake pies before I even get the bird in the oven. Oh, what fun. I am just thankful to be doing this. Happy Thanksgiving. Edie

Welcome from South Florida, never heard of soy batting, just poly, cotton, wool, and now bamboo. Good luck.

Not sure, but have used a blend of soy fiber yarn and wool yarn for my GD's knit hats. The yarn was wonderfully soft and smooth. Good luck!
