Maybe that quilt would know enough to cool down when you had a "power serge" while under it!
Love your thinking.

As the name implies, and as others have posted...origin starts with the mighty soy bean...making me hunger for Edemame.

Haven't seen it at my second home yet...(Fabric Depot here in Portland :-P ) but have seen and tried the recycled plastic bottles. Not bad. They also carry the bamboo batting and the cotton/silk mix. Haven't tried those yet...too cheap to part with that much $$ for stuffing.

I have never seen soy batting but have seen soy fiber sold by the hank for doll hair and any thing else you can think of to use it for. It kind of reminds me of soft cotton piping cord, the big stuff you use to pipe bedspreads. It is really soft.

Plenty of answers to your questions. It is true you will never be lonely with this board to turn to. I have learned so much and always find a topic I am interested in.
Welcome from Michigan's Upper Penninsula. I am about 20 miles from Escanaba & 40 miles from Menominee. Lots of Yoopers around the country. Winter is settling in and hope to spend many hours quiliting (if I get off the computer!)

who or what are yoopers

Judiw 11-24-2010 07:25 AM

Yoopers are people that have been born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am actually a "Troll", meaning that I was born below the Bridge connecting upper and lower MI and have lived here 40+ years.
