I just had a lap quilt done for $65.00 and she said she was giving me a discount! It was very beautiful and this is the west coast.

Compared to prices I have seen locally (and many places online), these prices are about half. They are quite low. I would certainly give them a try. :)

Not here. Here it is the Amish that don't use electric. The menonites have stores and this place even fixes sewing machines! I went there today to get a bobbin casing that I lost. Only $14 and they adjusted the tension which is good because I have no idea where to even look to adjust that!

That is correct for here also, Amish do not use electricity or rubber tires etc. But the Mennonite religion does not restrict me from electricity. Those prices are excellent, it their work is as great as you stated it would seem to me that is almost a steal.

It's ok. I just recently read a couple of articles that explained some of the differences. It was amazingly interesting. Otherwise I don't know much about them at all.

Very good price - here in California - its about 130-140 for a queen size with quilting only - no batting or finishing.

I would never do my own machine quilting again .. if I could get that kind of price for LongArm services.
