Love it and think he is wonderful for letting you have your retreat at home! Glad he joined in - retreats are as much about the companionship as the sewing! (Oh and don't forget the food!)

Please help me! I have created monster! DH has taken over my quilting supplies and new sewing machine. I get a phone call from DH saying that he is not going to be able to make it to his doctor's appt this afternoon. I ask him why. His response, "I'm fussy cutting." What, where is he getting this from?!? Meet him at the clinic, he says, "Bring supper tonight." I ask, "Why can't you make supper?" Response, "I have to finish my potholders." Man, oh, man. When I get home (with supper), hoping to relax since I am dealing with 401(k) auditors all week, I find him squaring up some fabric. Once he is through, he tells me that I am going to have to buy a new cutting mat (bought one Friday to replace the one that warped two weeks ago), a rotary cutter and square rulers. Why? He states that mine are now his because he is now used to working with them. Then he goes, "oh, by the way, you need to get another sewing machine for yourself. I learned how to sew on this one and I do not want to learn on another one." See what I mean! LOL!

Thank you very much for all the praise and encouragement. His enthusiasm is contagious. I am so lucky that he has taken up quilting. Now, how do I hide my stuff before he takes over and claims it for himself. lol!

One last thing, he watches Eleanor Burns' "Quilt in a Day" series with me and has adopted her habit of throwing scraps over his shoulder.

I will definetly keep you all posted as he progresses. Thanks for being here.
