I still would not believe it if I did not have the pictures to prove it. DH made a wall hanging quilt top this weekend. It came about by me not being able to go to the Retreat House this weekend due to car problems. DH said that I could have a retreat at home and he would not bother me. On Saturday, I was going through 250 5" blocks my Mom had bought for me from a garage sale years ago. As I was sorting, he started putting together a small wallhanging top. He turned to go and said, "Ok, now sew those together for me." I was like - oh, no, buddy, you are going to sew them together and I will show you how. Well, come Sunday, he sat down behind my new sewing machine, learned how to match up the end, sewed it together, learned what we mean about becoming best friends with the seam ripper and lo, and behold, here are the results. What do you think?

Nice, he looks very proud.

Haha!!! Look at that smile, he is so proud of himself. And he should be! He did a great job!
I love your reaction to his "sew that together for me." Are you gonna make him quilt it himself, too? ;) |
I think I actually see pride in that smile! Love his WH:) Tell him good job. Now he needs to get it quilted!
|
Looks like you have a new quilting buddy. His first project turned out great.

Hmmm... you might want to start looking for a second machine. I'm afraid you might be fighting for yours soon! He did a great job. We'll make a quilter out of him in no time!!

Tell him I think he did a wonderful job and has every right to be proud as punch!!!
