Lovely find!! I love the depression era fabrics! Great find along with the quilt shop.

Great find.
|
godd news! How about that!
|
They are really pretty. Make them into a quilt or wall hanging. The person who began them meant them to be something. Can't help with the washing advice, but I am sure someone can.

What a great find. I usually soak mine in Oxyclean in a bowl so far not problems. The only thing I have found is there is an awful smell that comes from the old fabric. I never put them in the machine or dryer.

Sounds like you had a great day! Aren't days like that a blessing!
|
Nice find

You are so lucky to have found these. I especially like the butterflies.
|
Love that old fabric! Please post the finished project.

They remind me of my first "quilt".
I was given my grandmothers butterflys that she had cut and started to stitch them to muslim. I follered her buttonhole stitch around each one and put on the antenna. Turned it into a quilt with sashing inbetween blocks. She loved it. And I was hooked~! Oxy would be my thought and soak in bathtub, drying on white towels. |
