I agree that you need to take your time and put heart, soul and lots of love into this one. I like the idea of making pillowcases now. Maybe the quilt can be presented as a first anniversary gift?????

I loved this one!
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-131062-1.htm It was honestly done in 6 hours from cut to done! And I wasn't trying to rush it, just working diligently. |
Give her a card with love and promise of a quilt when you get it done. She'll know you are thinking of her and that way she'll be able to concentrate on that gift without a dozen others shouting for attention, and the givers looking for thanks.
She might even prefer it this way. |
Kristen 0112 I really like your idea, Neat thought there, would save a lot of problems for many of us in the future when we are rushed with other things. I know I will use this idea in the future. Thanks!

I agree that you should let them know a gift is coming and not try to rush it ...and why not ask them when things settle down, to give you "their" colors and suggestions as to what might please them the most.

Don't worry about something fast. Etiquette says you have up to a year to deliver a wedding gift. I'd send a card, and say you just weren't finished yet. This gift is for someone special and should be something you're happy to give. But then work on something special.
