I have a book about that technique but not by Margaret Gunn. It is a very old quilting book. I have everything packed so I can't get any info right now about it.

A great big Thank You to all who responded. I purchased and received the magazine with the article. I was a bit surprised as the technique is executed exactly as I thought. I am glad that the process was validated and I can’t wait to try it.
