LC1562 08-14-2011 11:43 AM

Saw a quilt at a local store and was told it was in the Better Homes and Garden Fall 2010, called Granny Square and I think they said it was on the cover. Anyone has this magazine that I could get a copy of the pattern? Thanks in advance.

Candace 08-14-2011 11:55 AM

You can buy the magazine or buy the pattern, but copies aren't allowed.

Do you know what the cover looks like.

LC1562 08-14-2011 12:08 PM

Where can I buy the magazine or pattern? I been looking on line and can't find anything.

LC1562 08-14-2011 12:09 PM

All the lady told me was it was the Fall 2010 and she thought that the granny square quilt was on the front.

QuiltMania 08-14-2011 12:13 PM

Did you try their website? www.bhg.com

BlumenCreations 08-14-2011 12:21 PM

It's actually on the all people quilt site.

Hopefully this will take you to the cover....

Is that the quilt you are looking for?

eta: I actually have that magazine and the quilt is flying geese and there isn't a quilt called granny squares in it.

Well, I narrowed it down. I have Sept and Oct 2010 mags and they have no quilts in them or on them Sorry. Were they talking about the BH quilt mag?

BlumenCreations 08-14-2011 12:45 PM

I found this which has a smaller pattern,

You can also check your local library. If they don't have the magazine, they can often ILL (interlibrary loan) it from a larger library. You also might want to check if your Friends of the Library group has it for sale. My library sells magazines that are over a year old for 10 cents each. Sewing, craft, and cooking magazines go quickly.

I wanted to buy fabrics for this when we traveled from NM to IL for my GD's wedding. I forgot to bring the pattern and info so was really disappointed. At one quilt store in Kansas on the way home I spotted the magazine just laying on a counter of fat quarters. Someone had left it--I was able to look at the pattern and found the perfect FQ's at that shop. It was meant to be. Hope the person who left their magazine came back for it--sure glad they left it for me temporarily. Can't wait to get to work on it.

I am working on that quilt right now. Our LQS is doing this year as a BOM. Have fun, just follow the directions closely.

I just clicked on the weblink and entered GRANNY SQUARES in the search block and the pattern and supplies list for a 4-block quilt/wall hanging appeared. if it's a smaller quilt you want to make, it's online - another post cited a weblink for the quikt KIT, so you have another lead, anyway. Good luck!

CleighW 08-15-2011 09:56 AM

Try the Quilt&SewShop.com

mucky 08-15-2011 10:49 AM

Go to the web site and they may be able to sell you the magazine. Or someone could give you the magazine and that would be legal.

countryone77 08-15-2011 11:06 AM

This is NOT the one for which you are looking, but it gives you another option. This quilt was presented on Simply Quilts and the pattern and videos are still available online ...
