tree skirt patterns would be a good place to start, they don't have to be red and green :)
judy niemeyer/quiltworx has some awesome ones. here are the ones on Ebay today... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...T&_sacat=83957 I also have a round table... |
Very beautiful table topper. Great job! Could you please share the pattern name and size please. I really love this so much! Thanks.

You could also make a giant Dresden plate. Sewing with Nancy has templates, or you could make your own. If you have EQ software you can print it any size. Select templates for printing option, choose a block size, and delete all the templates except the circle and blade.
Here is link to view SWN episode. I think there are two episodes on Dresden Plates. http://www.klru.org/episode/sewing-w...resden-quilts/ |
You can also use a string, taped down in the middle of your table and swing the other end, with a pen attached, to trace the size circle you need.

I really enjoyed those episodes on Sewing with Nancy. I had just gotten my Dresden plate rulers. And made my first one on a table topper.I us my Embroidery Machine a lot and use it with my quilting. I have a lot of embroidered coasters and use one of those for the center. I am looking for directions on how to line the Dresden Plate to use it for Placemats and tabletoppers.Anybody have any ideas. MINE ARE THE EASY PONTED ONES

Try putting something square on a round table. It adds interest.
