tessagin, good idea, didn't think of wire marks. Im not crazy about the wire shelf, but its what I have and have to make do. It should be better than the boxes though :)

I have shelves that are plastic, with holes in them, I bought that poster board, placed on shelf, then fabric on that, works great!

Similar idea here, but my husband cut plexiglass for the wire shelves so I could use one for a bookcase.

I have wire shelves with see thru plastic bins on them. I have lots of fabric so just stacking them on the shelves is not an option. Bins are sorted by color, backings, Holidays, flannel, kids, etc.

I have part of my stash on open wire shelves and don't like it at all. I am thinking of putting something solid on the bottom of the shelf, then folding the fabric similar to the comic board/6 inch wide ruler fold. I will be looking for pictures from you to help me decide.

I have those obnoxious wire racks in my closets too, so I got some cardboard, and covered it with contact paper to make "shelf cover", worked great, and little things don't fall through the ones in the linen closet. Cheap, easy, and nearly free.
