Thank you everyone for all of your efforts to track down the pattern.
Nancy Mahoney's pattern is pretty close …. I can't tell if it's the color choices of the original quilt that I was looking that makes it look like it has a bit more of a curve in it.

JanieW, thank you for drafting it out and a link to some instructions. A paper piecer for sure, although I suspect that most of the pineapple quilts using thinner strips would likely work better paper pieced.

I too searched a long time before finding it! It is a book called Rich Traditions by Nancy Mahoney.
I love this quilt and hope I live long enough to make it.

Found the pattern in all places …. the thrift store. Was just flipping through one of the 3 magazines that I was planning on buying and lo and behold, Nancy Mahoney's pattern was in one of them.
