Your link says you can make it colorfast, but then says it has to be washed on gentle or dry cleaned. This is a baby quilt. It will get washed repeatedly.
So, I would cut the Boston Terrier out of the panel and use the rest somewhere else. https://www.fabric.com/buy/0467084/d...35-panel-cream https://www.fabric.com/buy/0467102/a...23-panel-cream These may be to "cartoony" for you, but there are lots of choices. https://www.etsy.com/search?q=boston%20terrier%20fabric bk The etsy seller got back with me and confirmed that her blocks are intended more for art quilts nothing that will be used and need washed i did find a seller on ebay that will print your picture on a quilt block. Waiting to hear back from her how these will wash |
I used Printed Treasures (I think that was the name) fabric from JoAnn's and heat set the picture more than called for. It wasn't stiff at all and the picture has remained. I don't think the June Tailor fabric is as washable.

My new favorite is solar dye. It actually dyes the fabric so it stays soft and does not fade. It is not full-color, but I love the look. Check this out: Jacquard SolarFast Starter Kit . Here are a couple I have done. The one with the baby was on a tye-dye quilt, so I used more than one color. There is a learning curve, but I have been very happy with it and the recipients love the labels. (So far, that is all I have used it for, but I can see it for so much more.)

i was interested in your post of the color block until I read the care instructions. Personally I hesitate to give some thing that doesn't wash easily for a child. I did like the prints tho".

thanks everyone! I am learning alot here :)

Keepsake Quilting has Boston Terrier fabric in their new catalog. It is, however, a cotton/linen blend. But the description says it is also good for quilts. You could email them and ask if the fabric is machine washable.

A while back I wanted a picture of a schnauzer to put in a quilt. I ended up buying a panel with squares of all kinds of dogs. I figured I could use the rest in a child sized quilt. I still have a square with a Boston terrier on it, 6.5 inches. I'll try to attach a photo. If you want it, just pm me your address and I'll mail it to you. I'll still have enough squares to make my child sized quilt so don't really have to have that square.
